Cross-Stitch Advent Orders have have re-opened for a short time only.

Thank you for the incredible response to our 2026 Cottage Garden Threads Cross Stitch Advent Calendar. We have a small, limited release for September only. Order now as orders will close at the end of the month!

Our 2026 Cross-Stitch Advent Calendar comes with 24 hand-dyed threads, 24 original snowflake designs and 6 surprise cross stitch tools. After listening to feedback from our very first advent calendar in 2025, this year we're introducing a cross-stitch option, finishing kits and the choice of 3 colourways.

Why you’ll love it

Make something that lasts beyond December - your 24 hand-stitched designs come together with English paper piecing to become a Christmas tree skirt, a table centre/quilt or a set of individual decorations to bring out year after year.
Slow down into the season - stitch original snowflake designs sized for short, satisfying sessions rather than late-night marathons.
Six little surprises woven through. You will receive bonus stitching tools tucked between the daily skeins, chosen to feel like small gifts to yourself as you go.
Choose the palette that’s truly yours - Traditional for classic Christmas warmth, Neutral for understated and modern or Vintage Bright for joyful, nostalgic colour.

Frequently asked questions

Q: I’m a beginner – is this calendar still right for me?

A: Yes, beautifully so. The snowflake designs use straightforward cross stitches, backstitch, and a small number of partial stitches. They are sized for short, satisfying sessions, so you can pick up confidence as you go. If you can thread a needle, you can stitch your way through this calendar.

Q: I haven’t tried English paper piecing before - is it tricky?

A: Not at all. EPP is hand-sewing in its purest form – fabric wrapped around a paper hexagon, then joined to its neighbours with a small whip stitch. It’s a slow, soothing technique, and we include simple instructions to walk you through your first hexagon.

Q: What’s included and what do I need to supply myself?

A: We include the 24 hand-dyed skeins, all 24 original snowflake designs, 24 hexagon fabric pieces, and 6 bonus stitching tools - everything you need!

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: We do. We send our cross-stitch advent calendars to stitchers across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US, carefully packed for the journey, with pre-orders dispatching in late October so they arrive in time for December.

Q: What’s the difference between the three colourways?

A: Traditional carries the classic warmth of Christmas in deep reds, evergreens and firelight golds. Neutral leans quiet and modern with soft ivories, taupes and silvered greys. Vintage Bright is our joyful palette - jewel-toned and a little unexpected, drawn from nostalgic Christmas baubles and tinsel.

A slow, lovely way to stitch your way to Christmas and an heirloom to gift to yourself or to a stitching friend.
