Originally designed for a retreat in 2023, this biscornu is a dream of a cold Christmas night, tucked in under whispering trees, with reindeer dancing overhead. We hope that stitching it brings you some Christmas cheer.
This design has a stitch count of 81w x 81h (per side) and uses full crosses over two, a little Satin Stitch, Smyrna Stitches and back-stitches. Back-stitch and Whip Stitch are used for the finishing. The model uses 1 strand of floss over two threads of linen except where noted on the chart. It is suitable for beginners to advanced stitchers, and can be stitched on linen or evenweave of any count that you prefer.
Model stitched on 36-count ‘Flax’ by Zweigart. Visit Joanna's blog for more info on the design and finishing tips.
