A: It is. The English paper piecing quilt pattern is written to introduce the technique step by step, with clear illustrations and gentle pacing. If you can thread a needle and follow a line, you can stitch Gwennie’s Cottage.
Q: What do I need to supply myself if I just buy the pattern?
A: The booklet includes full instructions and iron-on transfers for all the embroidery. You’ll need to source your own fabric, paper pieces, hexagon templates, threads and basic embroidery kit. If you’d rather have it all in one bundle, we also stock the matching Gwennie’s Cottage kit.

I am already working on the first of 3 volumes of the Field Journal quilt. Having now purchased the pattern and Cottagecore collection of threads I am planning to combine them all into a single large quilt - Double/Queen size? Using hexagons rather than squares. This will be a long project but one I’m looking forward to eventually completing. I’m enjoying the embroidery and I love Liberty Tana Lawn.
I am so thrilled to receive the pattern. I am making a quilt out of my daughter’s special dresses as a child. Perfect pattern for this project. Excited to get going on it.

The patterns went into my stash. My sister is in hospice and I am her primary care giver so I do not have an opportunity to work on hand sewing right now. I am looking forward to getting to do some stitching soon. I am very excited to work on this project.

The pattern arrived promptly however I missed the delivery and as it needed a signature had to get to the P O to pick it up. I have a disability making this difficult. As it was only a pattern I feel it could have been sent without requiring a signature . I have a locked parcel letterbox I was happy with the pattern and Am planning to make the bag at a later date in the near future
