Mojo Stitches

MOJO STITCHES - C IS FOR CHATEAU, D IS FOR DODO

I'm so excited to get back to this series, and to fulfil a long-held wish to stitch a dodo!  These are such fun, quick stitches celebrating camels, chateaus, chamomile, calendula and crowns;dodos, drums, doves, dogs, delphiniums, dragonflies & desmisemiquavers!

Each block has a stitch count of 105w x 140h and uses full crosses over two, some backstitch.  'C' uses a few Smyrna Crosses and 'D' some Satin Stitch.  In my model, I used 2 strands of floss over 2 threads of linen for the cross-stitches and Satin Stitch & 1 strand for the back-stitch and Smyrna Crosses.  These can be stitched on Aida as well, and the finishing is similar to a biscornu (you can do it!).

Models stitched on 32-count 'Platinum' by Zweigart.  Threads used are a combination of Cottage Garden Threads and DMC, but you can use any colour combination that you like.
