While I fear I'm playing into Australian stereotypes, we do have pretty impressive spiders! The Redback Biscornu features a tiny, but deadly little spider, and the Huntsman Needlebook features an unnervingly huge, but non-poisonous one.  And the Itsy-bitsy Scissor Fob is just desinged to make you smile...

The biscornu has a stitch count of 75w x 75h (for each side) the needlebook is 60w x 62h and the fob is 20 x 20.  All three designs use full crosses over two and a couple of backstitches.  The finishing requires backstitches and whipstitches.

Model stitched on 36-count 'Hogbristle' by Fox & Rabbit Designs using the 'Bookshelf' range.  In my model, I used one strand of floss over two threads of linen.
