Cottage Garden Threads is a proud community supporter of the National Breast Cancer Foundation and $5 from every bundle sold will be donated to the NBCF.
Inspired by colourful confectionery and swirls of spun sugar, this pack combines four refreshing pink tones, moving from soft sherbet shades through to brighter candy hues. A playful palette for adding colour, dimension and a little fun to your next stitching project.

Care instructions
Hand wash gently in hot water with soft soap. Roll in a towel to remove excess water, then air dry.

Every pack is checked and packed by hand in our Australian studio. We post to most countries worldwide, and our threads are stitched by hand embroiderers globally. If anything is not right when it arrives, write to us and we will look after you.

Q: I am a beginner, is this pack right for me?
A: Yes, this pack suits a beginner well, because stranded cotton is the most forgiving thread to learn on and the solid colours give you even, predictable stitches while you find your rhythm.
Q: What is included, and what do I need to supply?
A: The pack includes four 10m skeins of hand embroidery thread. You will need to supply your own fabric, needle and hoop, as this is a thread pack rather than a full kit.
Q: Will these solids come back if I run out?
A: The solid embroidery thread colours in this pack are first-run test dyes, so most will not be repeated once the release sells through.
Q: Do you ship overseas?
A: Yes, we post to most countries worldwide from our studio in Australia, and our hand dyed threads are used by stitchers globally. Everything is packed carefully so the skeins arrive in the condition they left us.

Thread Lengths & Weights
Stranded – 6 stranded thread is divisible into 6 strands and can be used as a single strand or multiple strands together. CGT stranded threads come in three lengths:
- 5m (5 yd, 16.85 in) cut into 50cm (19.685 in) lengths,
- 10m (10 yd, 93 in) cut into 50cm (19.685 in) lengths and
- 50m (54 yd, 24.5in) in one continuous strand.
By special order, CGT threads also come in two weights - Perle 8 and Perle 12. Perle thread has a sheen finish because it is a round thread. The higher the number of Perle – the finer the thread. Perle 12 is equivalent to 2 strands of stranded cotton. Perle 8 is equivalent to 4 strands of stranded cotton. CGT Perle threads are 15m (16 yd, 40 in) continuous.

A note from the dye room
Every skein of Cottage Garden Threads is hand-dyed in small batches, giving our hand-dyed threads the depth and character only true small-batch dyeing can create. We've spent years perfecting the batch-to-batch consistency that's rare among hand-dyed threads, but because no two dye days are ever identical, we follow a simple rule of thumb: buy enough, plus one. That extra skein keeps your project within a single dye lot, and you'll spot the symbol on our packaging as a friendly reminder. Curious about how hand-dyed thread dye lots work? Our small-batch studio handles every step in-house - from dye pot to packaging to post, so here's what to expect. In-stock colours are usually dispatched within 48 hours, though during sale periods this can extend to 5–7 days while we work through a flurry of orders. For full details, see our Shipping Policy.
Notes on colour
We photograph every hand-dyed thread in natural light and colour-check each image carefully, so what you see on our website is as true to the real skein as we can make it. That said, every monitor, phone, and browser displays colour a little differently - so the shade on your screen may vary subtly from the thread in your hand. If you're matching a specific colour or planning a treasured project, we're always happy to help guide you to the right shade - just get in touch with the studio.

What a bargain! I was looking for plain colours as opposed to the beautiful variegated threads I usually buy. I’ve bought several of the limited edition gradient packs but wanted particular colours to stitch on a piece of fabric I’m using in a slow stitching project. ALL of these were in the SALE department! I’m so thrilled, they’re such a perfect match for my project. Also a special thank you to Martin, who replied to my query about whether there is an easy way to navigated the website to find plain colours. When so few sellers ever bother to reply it was refreshing to get such a friendly, helpful response.

Just finished my Cottage Garden Thread Wallet🤗🌹The original wallet pattern only has room for 30 threads, and as I’m a bit of a 'go hard or go home' kinda gal, well, I tripled it😝 Also made the inside folder able to double as a work station, so I can have access to all the threads, or just the ones currently being used🤗 My embroidery is very beginner, so please don’t look too closely, but it’s bright and happy, and makes me smile☺️The CGThreads are such a delight to work with, and the colours are quite glorious🌹 Best part in my new wallet, is there’s a whole new section, waiting to be filled😝🤗😉🌹🌹🌹 I’m loving the new journey of marrying the EPP with embroidery, and can’t wait to get started on my Gwennies Garden quilt🤗🌹 Thanks so much for creating such luscious colours to play with🌹

This Olive Harvest set was perfect to use for this October Quaker by From the Heart. That speckle skein was the best part of adding something special here and there on the pattern. I just chose to use it on the flower motifs. Please release more kits (even if not harvest themed - seasonal appropriate would be great too!)!

My love of circles and french knots has lead me to this tree. I was after soft and sweet which I think using Honesty for the trunk and branches has given me that look. A good colour transition just added the right amount of variation I needed. Between Honesty and using Bridal Veil for flowers, I think I have achieved what I was after.

I’m making a book of Circles and French Knots. Bridal Veil had just the right amount of colour transition to give the impression of new and older flowers on this tree. Bridal Veil has given life to my tree and gives the over all feeling of peace when I look at it.
